    Abstract: PURPOSE: A simulation valve lift control device is provided to achieve improved accuracy of the measurement for the intake air resistance by permitting the valve lift to be automatically adjusted. CONSTITUTION: A simulation valve lift control device comprises an inner shaft(1) arranged to contact a stem end of a valve(100); an outer shaft(3) for guiding the inner shaft to move linearly in a lengthwise direction of the inner shaft, and which is fixed to a second shaft(104); an elastic support unit interposed between the outer shaft and the inner shaft, and which provides an elastic force to move the inner shaft toward the valve; and a latch unit for moving the inner shaft toward the valve in accordance with an operating signal. The elastic support unit is constituted by a coil spring(5) interposed between the top of the inner shaft and the outer shaft. The latch unit includes latch teeth(7) formed at the side surface of the inner shaft; a solenoid actuator(11) having an operating rod(9) to be engaged with the latch teeth; and a control switch(13) for applying an electrical signal to the solenoid actuator.

CONSTITUTION: In an intake device of an internal combustion engine, a surge tank(16) supplies air to an intake branching pipe. A separating plate is installed inside of the surge tank. A first and second circular plate and a housing are provided to distribute air selectively in the separated chamber of the surge tank. The first circular plate(24) has a plurality of holes, and the second circular plate(26) is attached to the first circular plate having holes in the same positions. The housing(28) accommodates the first and the second circular plate, and a throttle body is connected with the housing. An air distributing pipe is installed in lower part of the housing.
