Abstract: PURPOSE: A composite punch press apparatus is provided to enhance the productivity of product panels by arranging inserted upper and lower metal molds that are attachable or detachable to each of upper and lower metal molds and that have a shape corresponding to each of top and bottom surface shapes of a smaller product panel. CONSTITUTION: Left and right blank holder(5,7) are mounted on both sides of a lower metal mold punch(1) having a bottom surface shape of a larger product panel via cushion pins(3,3'). The lower metal mold punch(1) is provided at the upside thereof with an upper metal mold die(9) having a top surface shape of the larger product panel. A forming surface(13) of the upper metal mold die(9) is provided with an inserted upper metal mold(25) having a top surface shape of a smaller product panel. A forming surface(15) of the lower metal mold punch(1) is provided with an inserted lower metal mold(31) having a bottom surface shape of the smaller product panel. Each of the inserted upper metal mold(25) and the inserted lower metal mold(31) is inserted into and detachably attached to the upper mold die(9) and the lower mold punch(1), respectively.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A composite punch press apparatus is provided to decrease the number of processes for forming panel material by enabling both piercing and flanging processes of the panel material to be simultaneously carried out. CONSTITUTION: A composite punch press apparatus comprises a lower steel member(3), an upper pad(7), a flanging steel member(11) and a piercing steel member(15). The lower steel member(3) is mounted on a lower die(5), and has a flange forming surface(1) at one side of the top surface thereof. The upper pad(7) is provided above one side of the top surface of the lower steel member(3). The flanging steel member(11) is mounted to an upper die(13) at the side of the upper pad(7). The flanging steel member(11) flanges panel material along a flange forming surface(1) formed in the lower steel member(3). The piercing steel member(15) is mounted to the bottom surface of the flanging steel member(11), and is interlocked with the upper die(13) to pierce the panel material at one edge of the lower steel member(3).
