    Abstract: An engine coolant control system for an exhaust gas recirculation system of a vehicle is provided to warm up quickly a coolant by controlling the coolant flowing to the exhaust gas recirculation system and blocking the coolant flowing to a cabin heater. An engine coolant control system for an exhaust gas recirculation system of a vehicle, includes a coolant control valve(10) and an ECU(20). An operation detection unit detects the temperature of the coolant flowing along an exhaust gas recirculation cooler(300). The coolant control valve is turned on/off in accordance with the detected temperature of the coolant. The ECU controls the coolant control valve in accordance with the signal output from the operation detection unit.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A warm up catalytic converter for improving exhaust pressure is provided to improve output of an engine and fuel economy by resolving high exhaust pressure when exhaust pressure is increased at high speed working range of the engine as an opening and closing unit formed on an inlet of a bypass channel formed on an inside of a case and connecting an inlet and an outlet of the case is opened by the exhaust pressure. CONSTITUTION: A bypass channel(10) is installed in a case(1) to guide exhaust gas to pass a carrier(4) and detour so as to be discharged. The bypass channel is placed in the case, and directly connects an inlet(2) and an outlet(3) of the case so that some of exhaust gas introduced through the inlet is directly discharged through the outlet without passing the carrier. An opening and closing unit(11) is installed to an inlet of the bypass channel to be selectively opened and closed depending on strength of exhaust pressure, and comprises a valve body(12) and a spring(13). The valve body opens and closes the inlet of the bypass channel, and has one side hingedly coupled to a wall of the case to allow the valve body to rotate. The spring is formed on an axis of the valve body to elastically press the valve body in closing direction.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: An EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system of a turbo charger intercooler is provided to reduce the number of components and labors and to improve the layout of an engine by simplifying the structure. CONSTITUTION: An outer connecting pipe(12) has a diameter larger than that of suction air inlet and outlet pipes(10,11). The outer connecting pipe is laid over the suction air inlet and outlet pipes, and a gap(13) is formed between the outer circumferences of both end portions. Both ends of a venturi member(17) having a slim neck(16) are connected to an inner face(18) of the outer connecting pipe. The venturi member is slidable along the inner face. As an O-ring(20) is received in a groove, insides of the pipes are sealed. An EGR pipeline(21) is connected to the neck of the venturi member. According to the structure, the layout of an engine is improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A system for exhaust gas recirculation is provided to selectively operate a low pressure EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system in a high-load operating range and a high pressure EGR(30) system in a low-load operating range by being equipped with high and low pressure EGR systems. CONSTITUTION: A system for exhaust gas recirculation comprises a high pressure EGR line(32), an EGR cooler(34), a low pressure EGR line(22) and a control valve(39). The high pressure EGR line is connected to an exhaust manifold(12) which discharges exhaust gas by one end and to a suction manifold(14) by the other end. The high pressure EGR line is circulated by recirculation exhaust gas. The EGR cooler is installed in the high pressure EGR line and selectively cools the high or low pressure recirculation exhaust gas. The low pressure EGR line is joined with the high pressure EGR line in the front end of the EGR cooler and is partly connected with the high pressure EGR line by divaricating in the rear end of the EGR cooler. The control valve is installed in the rear end of the EGR cooler and discharges the low pressure recirculation exhaust gas.
