Abstract: PURPOSE: An articulated piston cooling structure of a diesel engine is provided to reduce the number of parts and assembling process by forming the oil gallery with the insertion end formed on the skirt part without a cooling ring, and to improve cooling efficiency of the piston by restricting increase of temperature of oil with increasing heat transfer from the crown part to the skirt part. CONSTITUTION: A round groove(14) is formed in the lower part of a steel crown part(10), and an aluminum skirt part(20) is combined with the lower part of the crown part in an articulated piston of a diesel engine. An insertion end(22) is formed in the upper part of the skirt part, and press-fitted to the round groove. An oil gallery(40) is formed by closing the round groove with the insertion end. An oil supply hole(21) and an oil discharge hole are formed in the skirt part, and communicated with the oil gallery.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Top ring carrier structure of a piston is provided to distribute stress of the top ring carrier at combustion by protruding a rib upward on the carrier, and to prevent crack of a piston by enlarging the contact area between the top ring carrier and the piston. CONSTITUTION: A top ring carrier is composed of a ring shaped body(4) recessed in the upper part of a piston(1) to form an oil moving passage(5) and a staple shaped ring combination part(6) formed outside the body. The top ring carrier and a top ring(7) are combined with the upper part of the piston. A rib(10) is protruded upward on the top ring carrier to improve assembling force with the piston, and the upward angle of the rib is equal to direction of stress applied to the body in moving down the piston. Stress is distributed by forming the upward protruded rib on the top ring carrier, and crack is prevented by increasing the contact area between the top ring carrier and the piston.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A charging pressure control valve of a turbo charger is provided to prevent the leak of the exhaust gas by blocking the exhaust gas passing a bypass passage by closely contacting a section change part and a section change receiving part. CONSTITUTION: A charging pressure control valve of a turbo charger is composed of a valve body(1), a valve seat(3), a valve(7), a valve supporting part(11), a section change part, and a section change receiving part. A bypass passage bypassing the turbo charger with the exhaust gas is formed in the valve body. The valve seat is installed inside the valve body. The valve has a valve head(5) which opens/closes the bypass passage with the relative position change about the valve seat by the lineal sliding motion. The valve supporting part is integratedly formed in the valve body to guide the stem of the valve linear-slidably. The valve head is closely contacted to the valve supporting part by linear-sliding at the condition opening the bypass passage. The cross section of the section change part is gradually expanded according to the longitudinal direction of the stem.

Abstract: A structure for reinforcing a bulkhead of an engine cylinder block is provided to facilitate rotation of a crankshaft by firmly maintaining a mounting state of a main bearing cap. A structure for reinforcing a bulkhead of an engine cylinder block comprises a mounting part(12a) at which a main bearing cap(30) is mounted. The mounting part is formed at the lower end portion of a bulkhead(12). A under cut(12c) is formed at both corner sections(12b) of the mounting part. The bulkhead is formed at a cylinder block to partition the lower space of a cylinder. The main bearing cap has a journal support section for supporting a journal of a crankshaft. Both ends of the main bearing cap are coupled with the lower end of the bulkhead through a bolt. A support state of the crankshaft is stabilized by the main bearing cap, so that the crankshaft easily rotates and thus vibration and noise are reduced during an operation of an engine.
