Abstract: The insulating material is obtained by (1) mixing 65-80 wt.% of glass fiber (diameter = 10 μm, length = 50-75 mm) and 20-30 wt.% of polyester (length = 70-100 mm), and then carding it, (2) adding 10-30 wt.% of powder resin into 100 wt.% of the mixture and impregnating it, (3) coating the impregnated with nonwoven fabric, and (4) heat pressing at 200-230 deg.C. The powdary resin is ABS or epoxy resin. The insulating material has an improved heat resistance, tensile strength, weather resistance and chemical resistance, and is useful for automobile hoold.
