    상기한 머플러의 하우징 하측에 응축수 배출을 위한 배출 밸브가 형성되어지되, 상기 배출 밸브의 몸체 중앙에는 밸브 장착공이 형성되고, 상기 밸브 장착공에 밸브의 일측이 스프링에 의해서 탄력지지된 채로 장착되고, 상기 밸브와 상기 몸체의 하부 사이를 연통하는 배출통로가 형성되어, 머플러 내의 배기가스 압력과 상기 스프링의 탄발력의 대응관계에 의해서 상기 배출통로가 단속되는 것을 특징으로 한다.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A condensate water drain device of a muffler is provided to improve the condensate water drain efficiency by automatically draining the condensate water through a drain hole and to prevent the corrosion of a muffler by effectively removing the condensate water generated in the muffler. CONSTITUTION: A drain hole(10) is formed in the bottom of a muffler case(1). An opening and closing member includes a fixing part(11) formed on the bottom face, a support(12), and a rotating plate(13). The opening and closing member selectively opens and closes the drain hole depending on the traveling wind of a vehicle. The rotating plate rotates depending on the intensity of the traveling wind. A guide(16) applied as a resistance against the traveling wind is formed on the front end portion of the rotating plate.

CONSTITUTION: In a muffler of which front and rear sides are connected to an exhaust pipe passing the exhaust gas, including a chamber of the predetermined volume in a housing, a condensate discharging device of the muffler is composed of a discharge valve(30) arranged at the lower part of the housing of the muffler to discharge condensate; a valve mounting hole(32) formed in the center of the body of the discharge valve; a valve(35) of which one side is elastically supported by a spring(38) and mounted to the valve mounting hole; and discharge passages(34,37) for communicating between the valve and the lower part of the body. The discharge passages are intermitted by correspondence relation of pressure of the exhaust gas in the muffler and the elastic rebound force of the spring.

    Abstract: 본 발명은 머플러의 응축수 배출장치에 관한 것으로서,
    종래의 응축수 배출장치는 배기압에 의존하여 바닥면에 고여있는 응축수를 상측으로 끌어올려 배출시키는 것이기 때문에 아무리 배기압이 높은 상태이더라도 구조적인 단점에 의해 응축수가 잘 배출되지 못하는 문제점이 발생하고 있었고, 이로인해 머플러의 바닥면에는 항상 일정양의 응축수가 존재하게되므로서 머플러의 부식이 촉진되고, 심할경우에는 머플러에 구멍이 형성되는 문제점이 발생하고 있었다.
    따라서, 상기 문제점을 해결하기 위한 본 발명은 배출공을 구비한 하우징을 머플러 케이스의 하단 일측에 설치하고, 하우징 내부에 상기 배출공을 개폐하는 피스톤을 설치하며, 머플러 내의 배기압에 따라 상기 피스톤을 구동시키는 수단을 하우징 상단에 형성하므로서, 머플러 내의 배기압에 따른 피스톤의 구동에 의해 응축수가 자동으로 배출되고, 머플러에 생성되는 응축수를 효과적으로 배출시켜 머플러의 부식을 예방할 수 있도록 한 머플러의 응축수 배출장치에 관한 것이다.
