Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and a method for generating the air pressure of an eco-friendly vehicle which selectively operate an engine driven air compressor and an electronic air compressor according to a malfunction of a voltage system and a vehicle driving condition. The device for generating the air pressure of the eco-friendly vehicle according to the present invention includes the engine driven air compressor (12) operated by an engine (11); the electronic air compressor (13) operated by a battery; and an air tank (15) which is connected to an outlet of the engine driven air compressor (12) and an outlet of the electronic air compressor (13) and where air pressed by the engine driven air compressor (12) and the electronic air compressor (13) is stored. The method for generating the air pressure of the eco-friendly vehicle includes an operation starting air pressure determining step (S110) which compares the inner air pressure of the air tank (15) with operation starting air pressure set to operate the electronic air compressor (13); an engine driving determining step (S120) which determines whether the engine (11) mounted on the vehicle is operated or not if the inner air pressure of the air tank (15) is less than the operation starting air pressure; an electronic air compressor operation step (S160) which operates the electronic air compressor (13) if the engine (11) is not operated a result of the engine driving determining step (S120); and an engine driven air compressor operation step (S170) which operates the engine driven air compressor (12) if the engine (11) is operated as the result of the engine driving determining step (S120).
