Abstract: A measurement apparatus for molten magnesium metal oxide is provided to prevent molten magnesium metal from being ignited due to air contact by covering a crucible and a weight measurement unit with an outside cover. A measurement apparatus for molten magnesium metal oxide comprises a crucible(10), a filter unit(11), a weight measurement unit(14), an outside cover and upper and lower gas suction devices. The crucible stores molten metal sample picked from molten magnesium metal in the inside. The filter unit is mounted in a lower surface of the crucible so as to collect impurity such as oxide inclusions by allowing the molten metal sample to be passed through the filter unit. The weight measurement unit measures weight change of the molten magnesium metal fallen through the filter unit. The outside cover is installed in the crucible and the weight measurement unit so as to shut off the molten metal sample from air. The upper and lower gas suction devices prevent oxidation of molten metal put in the crucible, the oxide inclusions and the molten metal sample.
