Abstract: A mold plate structure of a mold is provided to reduce manufacturing costs of the mold and improve handling easiness of the mold by forming the mold only in a structure that is essential for mounting an article-molding cavity on a press, thereby reducing size and weight of the mold substantially. In a mold plate structure of a mold, comprising a plurality of ribs(9) which are vertically penetrated, formed in a lattice shape, and joined with one another, the mold plate structure further comprises: a cavity supporting part(3) which are formed within a contour line of a cavity(1) such that the cavity supporting part is not deviated from the contour line of the cavity, and which supports the cavity; and mounting support parts(7) which are formed to be connected to the cavity supporting part, and on which mounting parts(5) are formed, the mounting parts being mounted on a press. The mounting support parts are formed to be deviated from the contour line of the cavity, and the ribs of the mold plate are formed in a combination of a plurality of relatively thick main ribs and a plurality of relatively thin auxiliary ribs. The mold plate(17) is formed separately from the cavity, and the cavity supporting part is joined with the cavity.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A mold for a press is provided to prevent the surface of a panel from becoming deformed by discharging foreign materials, compressed air, and oil. CONSTITUTION: A mold for a press comprises an upper mold, a lower mold(3), and a blank holder(5). Latticed fine grooves(G) are processed on the molding surface of the lower mold through a ball end mill. The blank holder is formed along the outer circumference of the lower mold. The molding surface of the lower mold is composed of an un-processed rectangular surface and a processed relief surface.
