Abstract: A system for controlling an emergency car with telematics is provided to enable the emergency car to quickly pass an intersection with priority by temporarily registering a usual car as the emergency car through the telematics terminal and enabling a traffic light controller to actively control turn-on/off time of a traffic light with both-way communication with the telematics terminal. A telematics center(200) stores and manages information for the emergency cars by using a database. The telematics terminal(100) registers the current car as the emergency car by wirelessly communicating with the telematics center.
