    Abstract: PURPOSE: A soft polyurethane foam composition useful as cushioning internal parts of automobiles is provided which is capable of improving productivity, workability, and percent defective remarkably without the artificial crushing process of foams. CONSTITUTION: A soft polyurethane foam composition comprises (A) a resin premix and(B) an organic polyisocyanate containing 20-40% by weight of isocyanate in an equivalent ratio of 1: 0.5 to 1: 1.5, wherein the resin premix(A) comprises 80-95% by weight of a mixture polyol and 0.01-2.0% by weight of an amine or glycol cross linking agent, 0.2-3.0% by weight of a tertiary amine catalyst, 2.0-5.0% by weight of water, and 0.1-2.0% by weight of a silicone deforming agent, the mixture polyol being mixed polyetherpolyol having a functional group of 2-4 and a molecular weight of 6,000-10,000 with polymer in a weight ratio of 95: 5 to 50: 50 in which a solid phase polymer consisted of an acrylonitrile or styrene monomer is dispersed or grafted in a polyetherpolyol having a molecular weight of 4,000-8,000 give the polymer. The composition has an effect on improving productivity, workability, and percent defective remarkably without the artificial crushing process of foams.

    Abstract: Provided is a composition for preparing polyurethane foam, which has reduced stink, light weight, long service life and excellent flexibility suitable to be used in heat insulation materials, noise-protecting materials and interior materials for cars and buildings. The composition for preparing polyurethane foam having reduced stink comprises a resin premix containing a polyisocyanate, polyol, reactive amine catalyst, crosslinking agent, and an anti-foaming agent. The composition further comprises 0.3-5.0 wt% of active carbon having a particle size of 0.01-1.0 mm added to the polyisocyanate or resin premix, based on the weight of resin premix. The composition is foamed and molded to provide polyurethane foam.

    Abstract: A method for preparing polymethylene polyphenyl polyamine is provided to produce methylene dianiline having a polymeric methylene dianiline content of 36% or more without causing an increase in a production cost and generating solid impurities during the reaction step. A method for preparing polymethylene polyphenyl polyamine includes a step of subjecting aniline and formalin to condensation in the presence of a strong acid catalyst, and subsequent rearrangement to prepare the polymethylene polyphenyl polyamine. The formalin consumed in the reaction is divided and charged during the condensation step and rearrangement step. The formalin is added during the condensation step in an amount of 60-90% of the total amount of formalin consumed for aniline, and added during the rearrangement step in an amount of 10-40% of the total amount of formalin consumed.

    Abstract: Provided is a method for preparing a polyisocyanate compound which is useful for the preparation of the polyurethane containing uniformly dispersed nanoclay without the deterioration of the storage stability of resin premix. The method comprises the step of reacting a mixture comprising 100 parts by weight of an isocyanate compound, 1-10 parts by weight of nanoclay and 1-10 parts by weight of a polyol with increasing the temperature slowly at a temperature of 50-200 deg.C for 1-5 hours to prepare a polyisocyanate compound. Preferably the isocyanate compound is selected from the group consisting of polymethylene diphenyl diisocyanate and toluene diisocyanate.

The formalin based resin is selected from a urea-formalin resin, a melamine-urea-formalin resin, or a phenol-urea-formalin resin.
