Abstract: The present invention relates to a control method for protection of an exhaust gas re-circulation valve, and has a main purpose of providing a control method capable of protecting an exhaust gas re-circulation valve from hot temperature exhaust gas in driving of a vehicle. Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for calculating accelerator open value is provided to improve the fuel consumption by preventing unnecessary fuel consumption. CONSTITUTION: A method for calculating accelerator open value is as followings. An operator presses an accelerator 100% while driving by extracting the maximum value among the output voltage of the accelerator position sensor with the read peak voltage, the accelerator stroke 100% reference voltage is the output voltage of the expected accelerator position sensor is updated as the read peak voltage(S21). The updated accelerator stroke 100% reference voltage is used to calculate the accelerator opening degree to determine the status condition satisfies the current vehicle driving(S23). The accelerator opening degree according to the output voltage of the accelerator position sensor is produced the output voltage and accelerator stroke 100% reference voltage of the accelerator position sensor are applied(S25).

CONSTITUTION: When a measured RPM change rate is over a reference RPM change rate, a malfunction sensing unit(110) outputs a malfunction signal. A malfunction determination unit(120) determines the malfunction of an accelerator pedal sensor when the malfunction signal is received. When the accelerator pedal sensor is broken, a control unit(130) stores a malfunction code. The control unit prevents the SUA(Sudden Unintended Acceleration) of a vehicle.
