Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a method for preparing a water-repellent glass. Therefore, provided yttrium oxide added water-repellent glass has a wider contact angle and improved durability and water-repelling property. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of: (i) preparing globular silica particles by tetraethylorthosilicate under base catalyst; (ii) adding 20-50 wt.% of tetraethylorthosilicate to the globular silica of the step (i) to prepare a silica colloid; (iii) reacting the silica colloid of the step (ii) with adding tetraethylorthosilicate thereto under acid catalyst to prepare a silica sol where the globular silica is dispersed in linear silica; (iv) reacting the silica sol of the step (iii) with adding tetraethylorthosilicate thereto under acid catalyst to prepare a mixture where the globular silica is dispersed in the linear silica and yttrium oxide; and (v) after coating the glass base plate with the mixture of the step (iv) and sintering it to prepare a substrate layer, coating it with fluoroalkylsilane to prepare a water-repellent layer.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a process for producing high abrasion-resistant friction material by adding base metal powder to a mixture comprising the base metal powder, hard particles, and a solid lubricant. CONSTITUTION: The high abrasion-resistant friction material is produced by mixing 75-85wt% of the base metal powder selected from the group consisting of Cu powder, Sn powder, Cu-Sn alloy powder and 15-25wt% of the hard particles to make mechanically alloyed powder, and adding less than 3wt% of the solid lubricant and 2-85wt% of another powder selected from the group consisting of the base metal powder, followed by forming and sintering.
