Abstract: PURPOSE: A non-contact seat back latch unit is provided to prevent operability degradation due to increased contact resistance and marketability degradation due to the frictional resistance of a pin latch and a striker. CONSTITUTION: A non-contact seat back latch unit(7) comprises a pin latch(10), a latch cable(20), and a striker(30). The pin latch is joined to a seat(1) and is interlocked with the latch cable for upwardly or downwardly moving through the length change of the latch cable. The latch cable is connected to the pin latch and the folder(5) of the seat. The latch cable lifts the pin latch for separating from the striker or lowers for fixing to the striker. The striker is fixed to a vehicle for being locked or unlocked with the latch and is equipped with lock holes(30a-30n) for inserting the pin latch.
