    Abstract: An optical system is disclosed and includes an image sensor (112), a plurality of microlenses (142), at least one microlens of the plurality of microlenses defining a microlens height and a microlens diameter. The optical system also includes a plurality of light-blocking structures (146), at least one light-blocking structure of the plurality of light-blocking structures defining a light-blocking structure height and a light-blocking structure width. An aperture array (134) includes a plurality of apertures (138), each aperture being aligned with a microlens of the plurality of microlenses, and the microlenses and the light-blocking structures extend from the aperture array toward the image sensor. The systems, structures and features disclosed herein can improve a signal-to-noise ratio when detecting images, via the optical sensor, from behind a display.

    Abstract: An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display is described, and includes a pixelated OLED display panel including a plurality of pixels, each pixel including a plurality of subpixels, and each subpixel including a plurality of OLED layers. A hybrid color correction component is disposed on the pixelated OLED display panel, and the hybrid color-correction component includes a nanostructured interface and an angular transformation layer, the angular transformation layer is disposed between the nanostructured interface and the pixelated OLED display panel.

    Abstract: A curved optical film generally lying in a base plane and having a thickness of less than 500 microns, and an average optical absorption of less than 70% for unpolarized normally incident light in a predetermined wavelength range is described. A first cross-section of the optical film in a first plane perpendicular to the base plane has an actual first length AL1, a projected first length PL1, and a first stretch ratio S1 of (AL1-PL1)/PL1. A second cross-section of the optical film in a second plane perpendicular to the first and base planes has an actual second length AL2, a projected second length PL2, and a second stretch ratio S2 of (AL2-PL2)/PL2. The optical film may have a maximum thickness variation of less than 20% along each of the first and second cross-sections, S1 may be at least 0.1, and S2 may be at least 0.01 and less than 0.8S1.
