Abstract: An optical system is disclosed and includes an optical sensor, a plurality of photosensitive pixels disposed on the optical sensor, a wavelength-selective optical filter in optical communication with the photosensitive pixels, the wavelength-selective optical filter being disposed remotely from the optical sensor, an area disposed in the wavelength-selective optical filter, the area having a transmission spectrum different from a transmission spectrum of a portion of the wavelength-selective optical filter not in the area and a reflector, the wavelength-selective optical filter and a measurement subject each being disposed between the reflector and the optical sensor along an optical path.

Abstract: The present application is directed to an assembly comprising an electronic device, and a multilayer film. The multilayer film comprises a substrate adjacent the electronic device, a barrier stack adjacent the substrate opposite the electronic device, and a weatherable sheet adjacent the barrier stack opposite the substrate. Abstract: An optical construction includes a lens film having opposing first and second major surfaces. The first major surface includes a plurality of microlenses arranged along orthogonal directions. An optically opaque mask layer including a UV-cured polymer material is disposed on the second major surface of the lens film and defines a plurality of laser-ablated through openings therein. The openings are aligned to the microlenses in a one-to-one correspondence. For a substantially collimated light incident on the first major surface along an incident direction, an optical transmittance of the optical construction as a function of a transmitted angle includes a first transmitted peak having a first transmittance T1 at a first transmitted angle within about 10 degrees of the incident direction, and a second transmitted peak having a second transmittance T2 at a second transmitted angle between about 30 to 60 degrees of the incident direction, wherein T2/T1 ≥ 0.01.

Abstract: An optical element including an array of microlenses, a pinhole mask, and a wavelength selective filter is described. The pinhole mask includes an array of pinholes with each pinhole in the array of pinholes aligned with a microlens in the first array of microlenses. Abstract: An optical system includes a lens layer having a first major surface including first and second microlenses and a first light absorbing layer. The light absorbing layer defines first and second through openings with a one-to-one correspondence between the first and second microlenses and respective first and second through openings. Each pair of first microlens and first through opening centered on a first optical axis makes a first angle with a normal to the first light absorbing layer. A light source emits light incident on the first major surface side.
