    Abstract: There is provided a transparent paint protection film comprising an acrylic adhesive layer, wherein the acrylic adhesive layer comprises a first cross-linking agent comprising a metal ion and a second cross-linking agent; and a base layer disposed therebetween, wherein the base layer is selected from at least one of polyurethane, polyvinylchloride, polyolefins, and combinations thereof, wherein the transparent paint protection film has a Young's modulus of less than or equal to 200 MPa; and optionally a clear coat disposed along a major surface of the base layer that is opposite the surface that is adhered to the adhesive layer.

    Abstract: Provided are methods and associated compositions directed to a structural bonding adhesive. The structural bonding adhesive is made by mixing a curable composition comprising a mixture of a first curable resin and a second curable resin to provide an uncured adhesive. The uncured adhesive is irradiated by a first actinic light source to polymerize the first curable resin without polymerizing the second curable resin to provide a partially cured adhesive. The partially cured adhesive is a pressure-sensitive adhesive that displays cold flow creep recovery under ambient conditions and is capable of being fully cured by irradiating the partially cured adhesive using a second actinic light source that is different from the first actinic light source to polymerize the second curable resin.

    Abstract: The present disclosure describes a method for forming microporous and antimicrobial articles. The method comprises preparing an initial composition containing a semicrystalline polylactic acid material, a nonpolymeric aliphatic ester diluent, and a nucleating agent. The initial composition is heated to form a melt blended composition. Upon cooling, the melt blended composition phase separates into a composition having two continuous phases. A network of interconnected micropores may be formed by stretching the composition, by removing at least a portion of the nonpolymeric aliphatic ester diluent from the composition, or a combination thereof.
