Abstract: Operating an analytical device (1) for gases having a gas chromatograph (2) comprises converting signals of each temporary signal sequence produced at the outlet of a heat conductivity detector (3) during investigation of the gases into a temporary signal sequence using a transformation. The signals of the signal sequence are determined by the temporary deviation of the concentration of the gases being investigated.
