    Abstract: The arrangement has at least one drive circuit per switch element with a voltage isolating transformer and a common device for generating drive signals. A circuit stage connected to the transformer secondary side produces a positive pulse during a switch-on phase and a negative pulse during a switch-off phase and damps the switching signal between the switch-off phase and the next switch-on phase. The arrangement has at least one drive circuit (4.1-4.n) per switch element (5.1-5.n) with a voltage isolating transformer and a common device (2) for generating drive signals whose rectangular output signal is fed into a drive current circuit (3) formed by series transformer primary windings as a switching signal. A circuit stage connected to the transformer secondary side produces a positive pulse during a switch-on phase and a negative pulse during a switch-off phase and damps the switching signal between the switch-off phase and the next switch-on phase. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: a method of voltage-isolated control of series semiconducting switch elements.
