Abstract: The invention relates to a method for transforming a first piece of information (1a, 1b) that is provided in a first format and describes a first software configuration of a first distributed control system (1) into a second piece of information (2a, 2b) which is provided in a second format and describes a second software configuration of a second distributed control system (2). According to the inventive method, the runtime behavior of the first software configuration is detected on the first control system (1) and is taken into account during transformation into the second piece of information such that the second control system (2) comprising the second piece of information has the same runtime behavior as the first control system (1) comprising the first piece of information. The invention also relates to a corresponding system.
