Abstract: The invention concerns an improved joining method for joining two parts (1 and 2) by means of a joining material layer (3). By means of contacts (4 and 5), a voltage is applied to a PTC polymer material layer in the joining material (3) from an energy supply (6) via an external electric circuit. The PTC effect leads to automatic uniform distribution of the Joulean heat loss and to uniform two-dimensional melting when the joint is being produced.
