Abstract:
Electrical contact system with a first and a second contact (1, 5), each having a contact surface (4, 8). The first electric contact (1) has a mesostructured electric contact portion (14) with a plurality of slots (15) and ridges (16) formed between neighboring slots (16) of the plurality of slots (16). These slots (15) and ridges (16) extend in a direction running transversely to said switching plane (X-Z) form a plurality of current paths (16). The current paths (16) are inclined to the first contact surface (4) at a first angle (17) measuring less than 60 degrees such that an interruption current (12) flowing through the mesostructured electric contact portion (14) and through an electric arc (11) extending in between the first contact surface (4) after lifting the first contact surface (4) off the second contact surface (8) pushes said electric arc (11) in the direction of the apex of said first angle (17) from a first position (18) to a second position (19).
Abstract:
A sintered magnet (1), e.g. for an electrical machine, the sintered magnet comprising a core portion (3), a shell portion (2) arranged at an outer part of the sintered magnet, and a diffusion portion (4) arranged at least partially between the core portion and the shell portion. The shell portion (2) has a coercivity, which is at least 30 kA/m larger than the coercivity of the core portion (3). In the diffusion portion (4), the coercivity is not less than the coercivity of the core portion (3) and not larger than the coercivity of the shell portion (2) and the value of the coercivity gradually increases from the core portion (3) towards the shell portion (2). T the thickness of the core portion (3) is not less than 1 mm and the total thickness of the shell portion (2) and the diffusion portion (4) is at least 5 mm.
Abstract:
This application concerns a magnet having a magnet body as well as a method for manufacturing such a magnet. The magnet body has a first region with first magnetic properties and a second region with second magnetic properties that are different to the first properties. Owing to the manufacturing process of the magnet body, the relative location of the first region and the second region within the magnet body is freely predeterminable.
Abstract:
An electrical contact tip for switching applications. The contact tip includes a body having a first layer and a second layer. The first layer arranged on the second layer and adapted to come in contact with a corresponding contact tip during switching operations. The first and second layers consist of Ag-composites of one or more elements, compounds or alloys, where the hardness of the first layer is lower than the hardness of the second layer.
