    Abstract: The present application includes wind turbine condition monitoring method and system. The method includes: acquiring historical SCADA data, and wind turbine reports corresponding to the historical SCADA data; training an overall model for overall diagnosing the wind turbine, and training different individual models for analyzing different components of the wind turbine based on the historical SCADA data and the corresponding wind turbine report, by establishing relationship between the historical SCADA data and the wind turbine report; acquiring real time SCADA data, inputting the real time SCADA data to the trained overall model, obtaining the health condition of the wind turbine from the trained overall model, and performing individual diagnosing step if the trained overall model determines wind turbine as defective status; inputting the real time SCADA data to the trained individual model corresponding to the defective component, and obtaining the fault details of the defective component from the trained individual model corresponding to the defective component.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for protecting a direct-current (DC) electric power distribution system that includes one or more AC/DC converters and/or one more DC/DC converters, and one or more loads, connected by DC buses. An example method, which is carried out in response to the detection of a fault somewhere in the system, begins with limiting an output current of each of one or more of the converters so that each of the limited converters outputs a limited DC current at or about a corresponding predetermined current level. After the current limiting of the one or more converters has taken place, one or more protection devices in the system are activated, where the activating at least partly depends on the limited DC currents being at or about the predetermined fault current levels.

    Abstract: A method and a control system using the same for coordinating control of a plurality of wind turbines of a wind farm during a fault in a utility grid to which power is to be delivered via at least one cable of the wind farm. The method includes: opening each of the electrical connections; selecting at least one wind turbine of the plurality of wind turbines according to a criteria where a sum of value for active power supply that is available from the selected at least one generator is equal or above a sum of values for active power consumption that is consumable by the energy storage system of the selected at least one wind turbine, the auxiliary equipment of the selected at least one wind turbine and the substation level auxiliary equipment; activating the selected wind turbine; for the selected wind turbine: electrically connecting the power input of its converter to the power output of its generator, electrically connecting the power output of its converter to the power input of its auxiliary equipment, the power input of its energy storage system and the corresponding cable, and electrically connecting the power input of a substation level auxiliary equipment to the cable which is electrically connected to the selected wind turbine; the activated wind turbine acting as active power supply for the substation level auxiliary equipment. The method and the control system using the same provide an effective and economic way of using the power generated by the wind turbine generator for powering the auxiliary equipment of the wind turbine, charging the energy storage system of the wind turbine and powering the substation level auxiliary equipment, during the wind farm operates in an islanding mode.

    Abstract: A method for monitoring turbines of a windmill farm includes: providing a global nominal dataset containing frame data of the turbines of the windmill farm and continuous reference monitoring data of the turbines for a first period in a fault free state, the reference monitoring data including at least two same monitoring variables for each turbine; building a nominal global model based on the global nominal dataset which describes the relationship in between the windmill turbines and clustering the turbines according thereto; assigning the data of the global nominal dataset to respective nominal local datasets according to the clustering; and building a nominal local model for the turbines of each cluster based on the respective assigned nominal local datasets, the nominal local model being built such that a nonconformity index is provideable which indicates a degree of nonconformity between data projected on the local model and the model itself.
