Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable spring arrangement which does not cause buckling or rocking, with no guiding means. SOLUTION: A spring arrangement 1 for a spring drive unit 2 includes springs 3 and 4 and pullrods 5 and 6. The pullrod is connected to a first spring end 8 of the spring by a first pullrod end 11, and is connected to a rotating shaft of the spring drive unit by a second pullrod end on the opposite side. The spring arrangement includes a frame plate 7 to which a second spring end 9 of the spring is fitted. The frame plate is provided with an opening through which the pullrod extends and is connected to the shaft. The parameter of the spring is selected according to operation condition of the spring drive unit so that the spring becomes stable during operation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
The method for breaking a current in medium or high-voltage applications uses a switch with a pair of contact members (1,2), at least one of which is moved from a closed position, in which the members are in electrical contact with each other, to an open position where they are separated. An electrical arc is generated during the separation movement. For high currents, the arc is extinguished by a pressurized gas directed towards it, and which is generated by using the energy of the arc itself. For low currents, the arc is extinguished by squeezing it in an area between a first and second insulating body (3,4).
