    Abstract: Die Erfindung betrifft ein elektrisches Schaltgerät (1), insbesondere einen Generatorschalter (1), und ein Verfahren zur verbesserten Schaltgaskühlung. Erfindungsgemäss werden von einem Düsenkörper (10) im Auspuffbereich (7) Gasjets (12) gebildet, gegen eine Prallwand (14, 140) ist Bestandteil des Schaltkammergehäuses (3) und besitzt eine hohe Wärmekapazität und/oder Wärrmeleitfähigkeit, so dass durch turbulente Konvektion die Schaltgaswirbel (13) an der Prallwand (14, 140) eine hocheffiziente Schaltgaskühlung erreicht wird. Ausführungsbeispiele betreffen u.a. die Ausgestaltung der Prallwand (14, 140) und des Düsenkörpers (10). Vorteile sind u.a.: Schutz des Schaltkammergehäuses (3) vor Heissgasen, verbesserte Schaltgaskühlung, und erhöhte Schaltleistung.
