    Abstract: PURPOSE: To perform high-sensitivity immunoassay over a wide detection range by using a component which specifically recognizes an object to be analyzed and is coupled with colloidal nonmetallic particles as a labeling composition. CONSTITUTION: Colloidal nonmetallic particles are prepared by causing a reaction between SeO2 and ascorbic acid in boiled water. After the pH of the suspension of colloidal selenium particles is adjusted to 7.2, an anti-goat pig antibody against IgG(H+L) is added to the suspension and the suspension is mixed and incubated 10 minutes. Then the supernatant liquid of the suspension is separated by centrifuging the suspension and a bound material is suspended in a TBS casein solution. The suspension of the bound material is mixed with a blood serum sample containing an anti-pig trichina antibody and the mixture is brought into contact with a nitrocellulose strip. As a result, a visually detectable red positive signal is obtained.
