Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a sensor for watching the flow state of the liquid of a positive displacement pump. CONSTITUTION: A positive displacement pump 3 is provided with an inlet cracking valve 46 and an outlet cracking valve 52 disposed on opposite sides of a plunger 48 used to displace fluid by compressing flexible tube 34. The outlet cracking valve is closed by a cracking pressure compressing the flexible tube until the pressure of the liquid displaced by the plunger exceeds a cracking pressure and the outlet cracking valve is opened and the liquid can be streamed out from the positive displacement pump when the pressure of the liquid exceeds the cracking pressure. Meantime, a flow detector consisting of a strain gauge installed on the elastic body for cracking responds to the stress generated in the elastic body and the signal indicative of liquid flow from the pump is produced.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To compensate the rigidity or elastic change of a flexible tubing pressing out fluid when compressed and control fluid flow with high reliability in a valve system which controls fluid flow in a passage formed by a flexible member and is preferably applicable in a phleboclysis system. CONSTITUTION: Components including pivot mounts 102, 104 pivotably supporting an inlet cracking valve and an outlet cracking valve 46, 52 respectively are mounted on a frame 100 in a housing 70 of a volumetric pump 30. Each cracking valve 46, 52 varies the contact pressure of each valve, face 106a, 106b with a flexible tubing 34 by means of pivoting. Fluid flow is controlled by pressing the flexible tubing 34 to a pressing plate 94. A valve arm 108 extends upwardly from the valve face 106a of the valve 46 and is rocked by the rotation of a rotating cam assembly 142. A tapered torque compensating roller 172 rotates in a torque compensating race 170 arranged at the back of the assembly 142, thereby applying rotation torque to the assembly 142.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To effectively detect leakage of liquid by pressurizing a liquid in a pump chamber, opening a outlet valve, and actuating a pump device for judging as to whether or not any leackage occurred in the pump device during a predetermined time based on the function of a signal of fluidic pressure output horn a pressure detector. CONSTITUTION: The first and second bags 24, 28 of a transfusion are suspended upward so as to flow the liquid agent 22, 26 in the bags toward a pump device 20. A supply tubes 30, 32 are connected to a main valve 34 and auxiliary valve 36, the main valve 34 and auxiliary valve 36 are controlled so as to flow the first liquid agent 22 or the second liquid agent 26 into a suction passage 38 for connecting the both valves into an air detector 40. The air detector 40 is made so as to not inject any babble into a patient's vein by detecting as to whether or not the air is included in the first liquid agent 22 or the second liquid agent 26. A pressure detector 60 outputs a signal in response to the liquid agent in a flow-out passage 58 to detect the leakage of the liquid, and then judges as to whether or not the leakage of the liquid is occurred in an inlet valve 48 or an outlet valve 56. And also the pressure detector 60 judges the leakage of the liquid of the main valve 34 or the auxiliary valve 36.
