Abstract:
The invention is related to a novel strain(s) of Bacillus thuringiensis in which essentially all of the pesticidal activity of said strain is in the supernatant of a fermentation of said strain. The strain produces a substance which has activity against an insect pest(s) of the order Coleoptera and which enhances the pesticidal activity of a Bacillus related pesticide. The invention further relates to pesticidal compositions comprising the substance and a pesticidal carrier, or the substance and a Bacillus related pesticide, a chemical pesticide and/or a virus with pesticidal properties as well as methods of using the pesticidal compositions to control a pest.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a novel substance having pesticidal activity, particularly against insect pests of the order Coleoptera. The invention further relates to pesticidal compositions comprising the substance and a pesticidal carrier, or the substance and aBacillus related pesticide, a chemical pesticide and/or a virus with pesticidal properties as well as methods of using the pesticidal compositions to control a pest.
Abstract:
The invention is related to a novel biologically pure Bacillus thuringiensis (B.t.) strain active against lepidopteran and coleopteran pests which produces a bipyramidal crystal consisting essentially of a delta-endotoxin having a molecular weight of about 130,000 daltons and a rhomboidal crystal consisting essentially of two delta-endotoxins, each having a molecular weight of about 33,000 daltons, as well as spores, crystals, delta-endotoxins and/or mutants thereof. The invention also relates to insecticidal compositions obtainable therefrom. The invention further relates to methods of using the insecticidal compositions to control insect pest from the order Lepidoptera and/or Coleoptera. The invention also relates to isolated DNA sequences encoding the delta-endotoxins.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a novel substance with activity against insect pests of the order Diptera. The invention further relates to the substance which acts together with a Bacillus related pesticide, a chemical pesticide and/or a virus with pesticidal properties. The invention further relates to a novel strain(s) of Bacillus thuringiensis which produces such a substance. The invention further relates to pesticidal compositions comprising the substance and a pesticidal carrier, or the substance and a Bacillus related pesticide, a chemical pesticide and/or a virus with pesticidal properties as well as methods of using the pesticidal compositions to control a pest.

Abstract:
The invention is related to a novel delta-endotoxins, each having a molecular weight of about 33,000. The delta-endotoxins are obtainable from a novel biologically pure Bacillus thuringiensis (B.t.) strains active against lepidopteran and coleopteran pests which produces a bipyramidal crystal consisting essentially of at least two delta-endotoxins having a molecular weight of about 130,000 daltons and a rhomboidal crystal consisting essentially of two delta-endotoxins, each having a molecular weight of about 33,000 daltons and/or mutants thereof. The invention also relates to insecticidal compositions obtainable therefrom. The invention further relates to methods of using the insecticidal compositions to control an insect pest(s) from the order Lepidoptera and/or Coleoptera. The invention also relates to isolated nucleic acid sequences encoding the delta-endotoxins and probes for detecting such nucleic acid sequences.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a novel Bacillus thuringiensis strain(s) which solely produces a CryIA(a) crystal delta-endotoxin having a molecular weight of 130,000 daltons and is active against lepidopteran pests. The invention is also related to a spore(s), mutant(s), or crystal delta-endotoxin obtainable therefrom. Furthermore, the invention relates to insecticidal compositions comprising the B.t. strain, spore, mutant or crystal delta-endotoxin of the present invention. The invention further relates to methods of using the insecticidal compositions to control an insect pest(s) of the order Lepidoptera.
