Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a separately expressed plural number of genes at the same time by labeling a plurality of nucleic acid specimens with different enzymes, reacting with a specific sequence obtained from a DNA library, subjecting the product to separate enzymatic reaction and detecting produced chromogen. SOLUTION: Separately expressed genes are detected at the same time by preparing a 1st nucleic acid specimen exhibiting the 1st RNA transcript mass and a 2nd nucleic acid specimen exhibiting the 2nd RNA transcript mass, labeling the nucleic acid in the 1st specimen with a 1st labeling element, labeling the nucleic acid in the 2nd specimen with a 2nd labeling element, hybridizing the labeled nucleic acid in each specimen to the excess copy of a gene specific sequence obtained from a DNA library, subjecting the hybridized nucleic acid in the 1st specimen to the 1st enzymatic reaction and the hybridized nucleic acid in the 2nd specimen to the 2nd enzymatic reaction to produce the 1st and the 2nd chromogens from the 1st and the 2nd specimens, respectively, measuring the relative amount of these chromogens and determining the objective genes from the difference.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for rapid identification and determination of effects of an antimicrobial agent. SOLUTION: This method for test comprises the following steps (a) to (d): (a) incubating a specimen of a microorganism in a culture medium containing an antimicrobial agent at a continuously diluted concentration in a short time and providing the different total numbers of microorganisms, (b) amplifying the total different numbers of microorganisms according to an in vitro microbial DNA replication, (c) adding a reporter molecule, specific for a double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) and capable of forming a complex therewith to the resultant DNA amplification products and (d) observing the presence or absence of a signal release from the reporter molecule-dsDNA complex.
