    Abstract: Cuerda (10) que comprende: una pluralidad de torones principales (12) que incluyen cada uno una pluralidad de fibras (16) formadas por un material de alta fricción, definiendo la pluralidad de torones principales una superficie exterior (18) y un canal central longitudinal (20) de la cuerda (10); y un torón secundario sin carga (14; 14a) que presenta una superficie exterior de torón y dispuesto dentro del canal central longitudinal (20) de la cuerda (10), incluyendo el torón secundario (14; 14a), al menos en la superficie exterior del torón, una pluralidad de fibras estructuralmente estables (22) formadas por un material no fluido de baja fricción, donde el material de alta fricción presenta un coeficiente de fricción contra sí mismo superior a un coeficiente de fricción del material no fluido de baja fricción contra el material de alta fricción, caracterizada por que cuando la cuerda (10) no se encuentra en tensión, el torón secundario (14; 14a) reside en un vacío relativamente grande definido por el canal central (20) de la cuerda (10), y donde cuando la cuerda (10) se encuentra en tensión, la pluralidad de torones principales (12) se mueven unos en relación con los otros para eliminar el vacío y entrar en contacto con el torón secundario (14; 14a), impidiendo el torón secundario (14; 14a) que los torones principales (12) entren en contacto unos con respecto a los otros en el canal central (20).
