PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate which has a low viscosity to allow coating at room temperature in sticking the protection film to the polarizer and in which a polarizer and a protection film are stuck together using a photocurable adhesive which does not dissolve the protection film.SOLUTION: There is provided an adhesive in which weight reduction in a protection film is 0 to 30 wt.% when the protection film is immersed at 23°C for 2 days and which contains 1 to 10 pts.wt. of a photocationic polymerization initiator based on 100 pts.wt. of a photocationic curable component. The curable component contains the following components: 30 to 85 wt.% of an alicyclic diepoxy compound, 1 to 69 wt.% of a diglycidyl compound, and 1 to 69 wt.% of a monofunctional epoxy compound.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocurable adhesive agent which has excellent storage stability, can prevent the discoloration of the adhesive agent itself and a material to be adhered during curing, has a high curing rate, and can provide good adhesion; a polarizing plate using the photocurable adhesive agent; a method for producing the polarizing plate; an optical member; and a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The photocurable adhesive agent for adhering a protective film to a polarizer comprising a polyvinyl alcohol resin film having iodine or a dichroic dye adsorbed and oriented thereon comprises: 100 pts.mass of an epoxy resin (A) having two or more epoxy groups in the molecule, wherein at least one of the epoxy groups is an alicyclic epoxy group; 5-1,000 pts.mass of an epoxy resin (B) having two or more epoxy groups in the molecule and containing substantially no alicyclic epoxy group; and 0.5-20 pts.mass of a photo-cationic polymerization initiator (C). PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium for short-wavelength recording light which is inexpensive and durable by using a photoresist composition where the water contact angle of the surface of a set material. SOLUTION: The photoresist composition contains a radical polymeric resin (A), an energy line sensitive polymerization initiator (B) and a Nonion-based surfactant (C) according to need, and the water contact angle at 25°C of the surface of the set material is ≥60°. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate in which an adhesion force between a polarizer and a protection film is enhanced by decreasing the viscosity of an adhesive and giving a sufficient hardness after curing in the polarizing plate in which the polarizer and the protection film are stuck together using an epoxy-based photocurable adhesive.SOLUTION: There is provided a polarizing plate in which a protection film is stuck to a polyvinyl alcohol-based polarizer through an adhesive. The adhesive is formed by a photocurable adhesive composition containing, based on 100 pts.wt. of a photocationic curable component (A), 1 to 10 pts.wt. of a photocationic polymerization initiator (B), and the cured product of the photocurable adhesive composition shows a storage elastic modulus of 1000 MPa or more at 80°C. The photocationic curable component (A) is prepared to contain the following (A1) and (A2); (A1) 50 to 95 wt.% of an alicyclic epoxy compound having an epoxy group bonding to an alicyclic ring and (A2) 5 to 50 wt.% of a diglycidyl compound which has a chlorine content of 1 wt.% or less and is represented by the following formula (I) (where Z is an alkylene group, or the like).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical filter having excellent light resistance and resistance to moist heat even in an adhesive layer. SOLUTION: The optical filter comprises at least one coloring matter compound (1), at least one layered clay mineral (2), and optionally an adhesive (3) as need. The optical filter has excellent light resistance and resistance to moist heat and is suitable for improving the display quality and preventing external light reflection in image display devices.
