Abstract: This invention relates to a self-generating pressure applying device to provide pressure on material within a container to dispense the material. A problem exists with the size and shape of some containers in association with the materials therein in dispensing all of the material. An expandable pouch (2) is provided, for applying a pressure to a material in a container so that it is dispensed, comprising two superposed sheets of gas and liquid impermeable material with the edge portions (8), (10) permanently sealed. A semi-permanent peelable strip (20) joins the two sheets to form one compartment and at least another compartment. The one compartment is divided into first (22), second (24) and third (26) sub-compartments by semi-permanent peelable strips (18). A first reactive component (30) of a chemical gas generating system is in the first sub-compartment and a second reactive component (32) in the third sub-compartment.
