    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure and display of a specified intracorporeal region, the movement of an intracorporeal texture, or the bloodstream by providing a Doppler processor for processing a received signal including harmonics of a basic frequency. SOLUTION: A harmonic echo signal is transmitted to a Doppler processor 50 through a bus 90 or a wall filter 52. When a user desires only the processing and display of blood flow information, the wall filter 52 removes a low frequency tissue signal component from the wide band harmonic echo signal. When the user desires the image processing of a moving tissue or both the moving tissue and the bloodstream, the wall filter 52 is bypassed, and a Doppler calculation is performed by a Doppler estimating apparatus 54 by use of the harmonic signal not filtered on the bus 90. Doppler shift characteristic such as frequency (speed), Doppler power (intensity), acceleration or dispersion can be provided by the Doppler processing of the harmonic echo signal.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and comprehensively acquire M-mode information by using the two-dimensional display within the three-dimensional display for space, and using the third dimensional display for time. SOLUTION: A B-mode signal is converted into an image, and a three- dimensional image 40n is formed by a 3-D drawing processor. The image 40n is acquired in the order of 401 , 402 .... Multiple images 40n are acquired at the frame speed of multiple frames/sec. The time frame-frame interval is obtained as Δ=1/Frate . A three dimensional image is formed, where the (x), (y) in the image set indicate the (x), (y) values on a specific image frame and (z) indicates the time position of the frame (n) in the time series of flames. This three dimensional image is rotated on both (x), (y) axes, and a bulkhead and a rear wall are displayed in the three-dimensional display: two-dimensional display for space and one-dimensional display for time. Comprehensive information can be quickly obtained.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate noises of an image, by receiving ultrasonic Doppler information signals from a space position in a stereoscopic area in a body and measuring the Doppler power intensity. SOLUTION: A multielement convertor 12 of an ultrasonic probe 10 transmits an ultrasonic energy into a patient's body and receives ultrasonic echoes returned from a structure in the patient's body. The received signals are amplified by a transceiver 14 and properly delayed by a beam generator 16 and summed up to make equalized phase signals. The echo signals are demodulated by an I.Q demodulator 18 into orthogonal components, the sizes of Dappler signal power are calculated by a Doppler power calculator 24, and the obtained Doppler signal power intensity is overlapped on an image of the structure in a body by a B mode processor 30 and displayed in three dimensions on a display 40.
