Abstract: Aromatic hydrocarbons which have undergone nuclear substitution with a trifluoromethyl group are electrolytically fluorinated in anhydrous hydrogen fluoride. The mixed gas which is consequently formed is sent through the aqueous solution of sodium sulfite containing therein potassium iodide, thereafter cooled and collected, and subjected to refining treatment such as by trap-to-trap distillation, distillation, or gas chromatography to obtain perfluorocyclohexane derivatives.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound which is a fluorine-containing tertiary butyl ether, can be synthesized by a simple process by using readily obtainable raw materials in a high yield, useful as a synthetic intermediate or a raw material for a fluorine-containing product such as a fluorocarbon substitute, a surfactant, an agrochemical, a medicine, etc. SOLUTION: This compound is shown by the formula (CH3)3COCF2CF2R (R is fluorine, chlorine, trifluoromethyl, trifluoromethoxy or methoxy) (e.g. tertiary butoxypentafluoroethane). The compound is obtained by reacting a compound of the formula (CH3)3COF with a fluorine-containing olefin of the formula CF2=CFR (e.g. tetrafluoroethylene) in the molar ratio of 0.1-5 times as much as the compound in a solvent such as acetonitrile or in a solventless state at -80 to 100 deg.C under 0.1-30 atmosphere.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound useful as a synthetic intermediate, a monomer for producing a fluorine-containing polymer, or the like, especially an alternative fluorocarbon, a surfactant or the like, and capable of being readily produced by using an easily available raw material. SOLUTION: This new compound is the one of the formula. The compound (e.g. a mixture of cis and trans isomers) can be obtained by reacting (A) CH3OF with (B) hexafluoro-1,3-butadiene in a solvent such as acetonitrile, propionitrile, acetone, dichloromethane, chloroform and benzene or without the solvent, at a temperature of (-80)-100 deg.C, especially (-50)-50 deg.C for about 15 hr reaction time while regulating the amounts of the used component A so as to be 0.1-10 mol, especially 0.5-2 mol per mol component B.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound as a synthetic precursor for trifluoroacrylic acid useful as a monomer for producing a fluororesin having heat resistance and chemical resistance by the synthetic reaction of hexafluoropropene oxide with trimethylsilyl iodide. SOLUTION: The objective compound of the formula CF3CFIC(O)F is obtained by the synthetic reaction of 1 mol hexafluoropropene oxide of the formula with preferably 1 mol trimethylsilyl iodide of the formula (CH3)3SiI preferably at a reaction temperature of 140-150 deg.C. By the esterification reaction of the compound with an alkyl alcohol of the formula R1OH (wherein, R1 is a 1-5C alkyl), a 2-iodized-2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropionate of the formula CF3CFICOOR1 (wherein, R1 is an alkyl).
