Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial dental root by which an outer force or an impact on an artificial tooth is not directly transmitted to an alveolar bone. SOLUTION: The artificial root is constituted of an implant part to be buried in the alveolar bone and a dental prosthesis part where the artificial tooth is attached. A male type uniting part for uniting with the dental prosthesis part is arranged at the oral cavity side of the implant part, a female type uniting part for uniting with the implant part is in the dental prosthesis part, a strength adjusting part being elastically deformation possible is in the female type uniting part, the male type part is inserted to the female type part in the case of usage for union and the circumference of the union part of the dental prosthesis part is elastically deformed when the outer force of the impact is added to the artificial tooth in the case of occlusion or mastication so that a structure without the direct transmission of the outer force or the impact to the alveolar bone is obtained. Thus, a physical burden when the artificial root is used is relieved and also a problem such as the destruction of the alveolar bone itself accompanying the use of the artificial root is solved.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide implant of high affinity with living bodies used by dentists and orthopedists as a substitute device for hard tissues, and also provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The process of preparation of the implant comprises conversion of the load from a uniaxial pressing apparatus to a load from two laterally facing directions using a load transmitting mechanism of a wedge. This is subjected to plastic deformation in a mold by simultaneous thermal pressing of both bottom faces of the processed material consisting of titanium or its alloy. Then, biologically active ceramics, for example hydroxyapatite, is uniformly squeezed into the whole side of the processed material.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phosphorescent substance having no toxicity, being chemically stable even in air, emitting an orange light. SOLUTION: This phosphorescent substance is obtained by adding Ti to CaO and which is obtained by bringing a substance to be converted into CaO by heating in air, such as calcium oxide(CaO), calcium carbonate(CaCO3), calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH)2), calcium sulfate(CaSO4), calcium oxalate(CaC2O4), or the like, as a raw material into contact with metal titanium(Ti), heat-treating the resultant substance in vacuum or in an atmosphere of argon gas, or the like, having no reactivity with Ti or subjecting CaO and Ti to a mechanical alloying method, or the like.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial bone made of titanium or titanium alloy on the surface of which bio-compatibility is imparted to utilize for a die for pressing a material to be worked, artificial hip-joint stem or the like. SOLUTION: This die is a die having segmental dies between which the material to be worked is put are oppositely arranged and an outer frame situated on the outer periphery of the dies. By making the outer frame and segmental dies functions as a wedge and sliding motion execute, load with a vertical single axis press device is converted into loads from both directions which are horizontally opposed. Then, by moving the segmental dies so as to clamp the material to be worked made of titanium or titanium alloy and uniformly pressing the side faces, and, by executing hot pressing using a die for imparting a necessary shape to the material to be worked, the artificial bone is obtained by imparting the necessary shape to the material to be worked and simultaneously press-fitting living body active ceramic particles such as apatite hydroxide on the surface.
