Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce burden of a server and a database that must manage an individual set state of each probe in managing and distributing set information of each probe. SOLUTION: This method used in a measuring system comprises a step of receiving set data of a plurality of separated probes. The set data of each probe is not uniquely related with the probe, and can establish the setting of the probe. This method also comprises a step of communicating a measured value according to the set data. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize a present setting at any instant without requiring frequent reports from a setting server or significantly increasing communication requirement. SOLUTION: A probe used in a measurement system comprises a memory for storing data suitable for possible settings about the probe and a processor for setting one of the possible probe settings. A positioning device is provided, the possible probe settings are used by the processor, and preferably a position parameter for selecting a setting from the possible settings is provided at least partially based on a defined position of the probe presented by a controller of the measurement system. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parameter measurement system capable of performing direct access to the performance of the system from the customer's viewpoint. SOLUTION: The parameter measurement system which measures parameters accessible from mobile equipment communicating over a communication network, the communication network including first and second technology coverage areas provided by each of first and second service providers, includes an agent characterized in comprising: a measurement means for measuring a determined parameter of operation of one of the mobile equipment and the first and second service providers and detecting changes in the service providers, a means for changing measured parameters to make parameter measurements corresponding to the detected changes in the service providers; and a transmitter which transmits the measured parameters to the first service provider over the communication network. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To visualize which base station offers service of a specific instrument source position. SOLUTION: This method is used for mapping of relation between a plurality of moving sensors and a plurality of sensor reference points and contains a step in which measurement parameters are obtained by the sensors. The measurement parameters are contained in parameters to be measured and the identification information of the sensor reference points of transmission sources. This method also contains a step which displays the measurement parameter, every above-mentioned sensor, as a line which connects the sensor with the sensor reference point which corresponds to the measurement parameter. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for recognizing capabilities regarding levels of services to be utilized in different technology coverage areas from the customer's perspective. SOLUTION: In a communication network (2) architecture having multiple technology coverage areas (4, 6) that support different network technologies, a service provider monitors its customer's experience as the customer roams between technology coverage areas. An agent, such as software installed on the customer's mobile equipment (12), measures (22, 24, 34, 44) parameters (32) that are related to the network technology, and communicates (28, 40, 42) the measured parameters to the service provider, over the communication network (2). PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly check a background before each computation, without delaying a system in the measuring processing system. SOLUTION: This system for verifying a metadata in the measuring processing system is provided with a process means for correlating a unique string expressing a specified combination of the metadata with a measured data, at least one function block for receiving the measured data and the related unique string, and for executing the computation of the measured data, and at least one history cache for storing the unique string, and the function block investigates the unique string in the history cache to verify the effective computation. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To communicate metadata with a bandwidth narrowed and power saved. SOLUTION: A sensor comprises measurement data to be transmitted to a data collector, metadata that is to be transmitted to the collector and constituted so as to support the data collector when any of the transmitted measurement data, and a control section for transmitting at least a part of the metadata whenever transmitting opportunity occurs. The control section transmits a part of the metadata instead of a part of the measurement data, and determines when the part of the measurement data is repeated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time-aware system equipped with a mechanism for explicitly addressing timing requirements associated with tasks. SOLUTION: The time-aware system is provided with a set of resources 20, 22, 24, ... 26 to be used by the task and a resource dedication mechanism 126 for dedicating a subset of the resources so as to be used by the task in accordance with a set of timing parameters 28 associated with the task. The timing parameters 28 are led by a series of time constraints associated with the task. Also, when the time constraints are not met, an obstacle event is generated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of providing location data in a user-friendly way. SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method and system for specifying location using a wireless device. The wireless device displays a view of location data to a user. The location data includes readily recognizable features in a geographical area, such as a geographical map or a list of cities, neighborhoods, businesses, intersections, streets, or landmarks. A user selects a particular location data from the view and the selected location data is displayed in more detail. The process of selecting particular location data and displaying that location data in more detail continues until a location can be specified in a desired detail level. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
Abstract:
The system has a functional block (102) and a history cache (103), where a clear sequence of numbers is assigned to measuring data. The sequence of numbers represents a specific combination of meta data. The block receives the measuring data and the assigned sequence of numbers. The block calibrates the sequence of numbers in the history cache for checking valid operations. The block is implemented in a software and in a gate array. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for checking meta data (2) a system for checking operations on the basis of meta data.
