Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use transmission bandwidth in a wireless probe measuring system. SOLUTION: A system and a method are disclosed for managing bandwidth in the wireless probe measuring system. The system and the method may include: a means for receiving an indicator at the wireless probe to begin taking measurements of one or more variables; a means for measuring the one or more variables; a means for calculating a set of statistical values at the wireless probe using the measured one or more variables; and a means for transmitting the set of statistical values to a central station.
