Abstract: This invention relates to a composite power/optical fiber cable comprising A) a central single core power conductor (1), having layer(s) of insulation (2), a metal screen (3) and corrosion protective layers including an inner plastic sheath (4), and B) at least one optical fiber (11:16;22;27;31;46;50). The at least one optical fiber is arranged between the screen (3) and the plastic sheath (4). The optical fibers can be incorporated in the power cable in the form of fibers encompassed by a metal tube, - grouped in ribbons, bands or units.
