Disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions containing a quinolone antibiotic, such as ciprofloxacin, and a steroid, such as rimexolone, dexamethasone, fluorometholone or fluorometholone acetate, and the like for topical ophthalmic delivery, and a method of treatment comprising administering said compositions topically to the affected ocular tissue when indicated for control of infection and associated inflammation.

Pharmaceutical compositions useful in ophthalmic surgery are described. The compositions include one or more non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs, and are useful for preventing or treating ophthalmic inflammation and other conditions associated with ophthalmic surgery. Methods of using the compositions in connection with ophthalmic surgical procedures are also described.

On a mis au point des préparations pharmaceutiques comprenant de la tobramycine ainsi qu'un stéroide tel que la dexaméthasone ou le fluorométholone destinés à une administration ophtalmique topique. On a prévu un procédé de traitement consistant à administrer ladite préparation lorsqu'elle est indiquée pour une infection et la régulation d'une réaction inflammatoire, afin d'obtenir une guérison optimale de la lésion et le retour à l'état normal de l'oeil chez l'homme ou l'animal.
