Abstract: A unit dose dispenser (10) for dispensing a composition (15) includes a compressible, air filled container (12) in communication with an open end (14a) of a tube (14) filled with the composition (15). The opposite end (19) of the tube (14) through which the composition (15) is dispensed is sealed with a removable closure cap (17) to maintain sterility of the composition (15) prior to use. By removing the cap (17) and applying external pressure (F) to compress the container (12), air is forced to enter the tube (14) and eject, by displacement, composition (15) from the tube (14). To completely eject the predetermined dosage (15) that completely fills the tube (14), the volume of air or other gaseous propellant within the compressible container (12) is greater than the volume of the unit dose (15).
