Abstract: A turbofan engine fan stator assembly (26) includes stator vanes (40) readily insertable through the outer shroud (36) into the stator assembly hub (38). Elastomeric grommets (56) seal between the vanes (40), shroud (36) and hub (38), and an outer band (74) radially inwardly compresses the assembly. The vanes (40) are radially secured to the hub (38) only through frictional engagement with the hub grommet (56).
