Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce irradiation on an operator and to perform a high-precise sampling and radiation detection, by a method wherein a dust sampler unit is mounted in a spot which is low in back ground and is easy to maintain and inspect. CONSTITUTION:A holder stocker 36 is located adjacent to a sampling and detecting part 10 for radioactive dust, and a plurality of filter paper holders 42 whereto filter papers for radiactive dust are individually attached are stored in lamination. A lamination holder group in the stocker 36 is moved vertically with an elevating shaft 50 moved vertically. A holder extracting mechanism 58 extracts a given filter paper holder 42 from the lamination holder group to feed it to the sampling and detecting part 10 where a sampling and detection for the radioactive dust are performed. The filter paper holder 42 is then restored to the original position.

CONSTITUTION:A monitoring path is composed of the first monitoring path 10 and the second monitoring path 20. The first monitoring path 10 is provided with a card guide 14 and a plurality of monitoring cards 18 accommodated in a stocker 16 is guided by the card guide 14 through a transferring and feeding apparatus 20, while an absorption section 22 performs absorption of air dust to the monitoring card 18 and a writing apparatus 24 performs recording of the dust collecting conditions.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable simple sampling of radioactive dusts from multisystem, by a method wherein a filter paper is fed stage by stage to sample radioactive dusts in a concentrated manner from a multisystem sampling zone. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of dust flow ports 20 are aligned at equal intervals along a movement path 100. A filter paper retainer 22 adheres firmly to a long-sized filter paper 10 for securing in a position where it is located facing and opposite to the dust flow port 20 with the long-sized filter paper 10 inbetween. Sampling of dusts in air flowing in a suction pipe 28 is conducted in a condition that the dust flow port 20 adheres firmly to the filter paper retainer 22 with the filter paper 10 inbetween. Under a condition that the filter paper 10 is separated from the flow port 20 and it does not move, a solenoid valve 44 is opened, and a suction negative pressure is not applied to a dust feeding means 16. As a result, radioacdive dust does not leak from the dust flow port 20.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To calculate rapidly and automatically the density of a radioactive substance in the air by using the measured value of the radioactivity of filter paper adsorbing dust in the air and duct collection conditions recorded on the surface of the filter paper, by measuring the radioactivity of the filter paper at every dust adsorption part. CONSTITUTION:The monitor path consists of the 1st monitor path 10 and 2nd monitor path 12. Both monitor paths 10 and 12 are equipped with a roll of dust absorbing long-sized filter paper 14 in an interchangeable cassette including supply reel 16 and take-up reel 18. In the 1st monitor path 10, dust in the air is adsorbed and dust collection conditions are recorded; in the 2nd monitor path 12, radioactivity is measured and the dust collection conditions are read. Controller 44 calculates the density of the radioactive substance in the air from the radioactivity measured value and the dust collection conditions. The arithmetic result of controller 44 is outputted from output device 46 as radioactive substance density data.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make unnecessary the prediction from a radioactive ray generator by switching two switches through a control circuit in accordance with the detected quantity of the ray so that the outputs of the ray meter are consecutively stored in a memory corresponding to each switch. CONSTITUTION:The ionized current pulses from an ionizing box detector 1 are integrated by a charge integrating type potentiometer 2 and fed to switches S1 and S2. On the other hand, the switches S1 and S2 are alternately switched through a control circuit 8 and a pulse detecting circuit 7, which is operative to detect the existence of the ionized current pulses of the detected quantity of the ray from the detector 1 by differentiating the output of the potentiometer 2, so that the detected ionized current pulse values before and after the pulse generation of the radioactive ray are alternately stored in memory circuits 4 and 6. Thus, without predicting the radiation ray tenerating pulses, the pulse-shaped radioactive ray can be metered through an airthmetic circuit 9 and a display circuit 10.
