Abstract: PURPOSE: To electrically connect a conductor with a circuit substrate by attaching a conductive elastomer, which is to be joined to a pad on the surface of a circuit substrate, to a conductor of a flexible circuit substrate and press- connecting the conductive elastomer to the pad. CONSTITUTION: A flexible circuit substrate 24 is constituted of a flexible dielectric material 22 and a conductor 20 and a conductive elastomer 26 is attached to an end part of the conductor 20. A plate 28 which press-connect the elastomer 26 to a surface pad 16 of a circuit substrate 12 by applying pressure to the conductor 20 and the elastomer 26 is installed on the opposite of the elastomer 26 of the conductor 20. The elastomer 26 comprises rubber containing a specified amount of a conductive material as to provide conductivity when compressed. In this way, a connector of an interval density of 0.025cm and low height and not necessary to be soldered can be obtained.
