Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide architectural and versatile architecture for allowing one computer system to use information of many different formats. CONSTITUTION: A source channel and a destination chanel are provided so that the source channel may send the stream of data by one of formats regulated to a single address indicating the destination channel and that the destination channel may be operated by an instruction from a central processor, etc., to utilize information supplied from the source channel in a desired form.
