Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a point click system without putting the hands away from a keyboard by positioning a cursor with one thumb and selecting an image with the other thumb while placing the fingers of both the hands except the thumbs at their home keys when operating the cursor with both the hands. SOLUTION: A cursor controller 12 (track ball 32, function start button 31, and lower button 33) is provided at a palm rest part 9 provided on a main housing 1 which is closer to a user oppositely from the keyboard 11 so that both the hands of the user reach a cursor controller 12 during operation on the keyboard 11. To operate the cursor with both the hands, the cursor is positioned with one thumb and an image specified with the cursor is selected with the other thumb while the fingers of both the hands are left at their home positions. To operate the cursor with one hand, the one hand is put away from the home positions, the cursor is positioned with the one hand, and an image is selected.
