Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces and techniques for managing audio exposure using a computer system (e.g., an electronic device). In accordance with some embodiments, the electronic device displays a graphical indication of a noise exposure level over a first period of time with an area of the graphical indication that is colored to represent the noise exposure level, the color of the area transitioning from a first color to a second color when the noise exposure level exceeds a first threshold. In accordance with some embodiments, the electronic device displays noise exposure levels attributable to a first output device type and a second output device type and, in response to selecting a filtering affordance, visually distinguishes a set of noise exposure levels attributable to the second output device type.

Abstract: A conversation detector processes microphone signals of a headphone to declare a conversation if it detects Own Voice Activity (OVAD) and a Target Voice Activity (TVAD, eg. a Machine Learning ML speaker identification model or Neural Network) within the same ambient acoustic environment, filters it (eg. via Active Noise Cancellation ANC) to produce a transparency audio signal fed to the headphone loudspeaker, then declares an end to the conversation if an idle duration in which an OVAD and a TVAD both indicate no activity extends longer than an idle threshold. The conversation filter may only be activated if far-field speech is detected or not activated if a false trigger sound is detected.

Abstract: A conversation detector processes microphone signals and other sensor signals of a headphone to declare a conversation and configures a filter block to activate a transparency audio signal. It then declares an end to the conversation based on processing one or more of the microphone signals and the other sensor signals, and in response deactivates the transparency audio signal. The conversation detector monitors an idle duration in which an OVAD and a TVAD are both or simultaneously indicating no activity and declares the end to the conversation in response to the idle duration being longer than an idle threshold. Other aspects are also described and claimed.
