Abstract: A thermoplastics airbag module cover has spaced pairs of stakes integral with and having distal ends extending outwardly from the rear surface of the cover, the stakes being arranged in predetermined patterns. A horn switch has spaced pairs of openings through it arranged in the same predetermined patterns as the spaced pairs of stakes such that the horn switch is positioned on the rear surface of the cover, with the spaced pairs of stakes extending through the spaced pairs of openings. A bridge is unitary with and interconnects the distal ends fo the spaced pairs of stakes for retaining the horn switch on the rear surface of the cover. The horn switch is pref. a membrane switch, and the bridge parts are parallel to each other. The spaced pairs of stakes are located along at least two parallel peripheral areas of the horn switch.
