Abstract: A wireless monitoring module monitors a performance of a wireless data device. The module, which is executed by the wireless data device, sends an application request at predetermined time intervals. The module receives a response from the request. If the response is successful, there is either no error, or an application problem, depending on the content of the response. If the response is an error, the module determines whether the error is due to a network problem or a wireless gateway problem.
