Abstract:
A process for preparing porous olefin polymers comprising bringing into contact in a polymerization reactor, at a temperature T , one or more olefins of the formula (I) CH2=CHR , R being hydrogen, a C1-C20-alkyl or a C6-C12-aryl group, with a catalyst obtained by reacting a solid catalyst component in the form of spheroidal particles comprising a compound of Ti or V not containing metal-&pgr; bonds and a Mg halide, optionally containing one or more electron donor compounds, with an aluminum-alkyl (Al-alkyl) compound, then raising the temperature up to the polymerization temperature, said process being characterized in that: a) if the temperature T is lower than 40 DEG C, the temperature is raised up to the polymerization temperature is such a way that, for a time of at least one minute after the introduction temperature in such a way that, for a time of at least one minute after the introduction of the catalyst system into the reactor, the temperature of the reaction T fulfills the following condition of formula (II) wherein m is the time expressed in minutes employed for reaching the temperature T ; or b) if temperature T is 40 DEG C or higher, the reactor is maintained for a time of at least one minute at a temperature of at least 40 DEG C.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
Process for the polymerization of olefins CH=CHR, in which R is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon radical with 1-12 carbon atoms, carried out in the presence of a catalyst component (A) comprising Mg, Ti and halogen as essential elements a nd of a catalyst component (B) capable to produce, under the same polymerizatio n conditions, a polymer with an average particle size lower than that obtainab le with the said catalyst component A. The said process provides polymers with increased bulk density.
Abstract:
Solid Lewis adducts comprising MgCl2, a Lewis base (LB) belonging to ethers, esters, ketones, silanes or amines and an alcohol ROH, in which R is a C1-C15 hydrocarbon group optionally substituted with heteroatoms containing groups, which compounds are in molar ratios to each other defined by the following formula MgCl2(ROH)m(LB)n in which m ranges from 0.05 to 6, n ranges from 0.08 to 6. The solid Lewis adducts herein can be used to prepare catalysts having good morphological stability, and high polymerization activity.
Abstract:
Process for the polymerization of olefins CH 2 -CHR, in which R is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon radical with 1-12 carbon atoms, carried out in the presence of a catalyst component (A) comprising Mg, Ti and halogen as essential elements and of a catalyst component (B) capable to produce, under the same polymerization conditions, a polymer with an average particle size lower than that obtainable with the said catalyst component A. The said process provides polymers with increased bulk density.
