Abstract:
The invention relates to liquid dye preparations based on metallised dye formulations devoid of sulfonic acid groups and to the use thereof, in particular for producing aqueous dye baths, in particular for leather spray-dyeing. The inventive liquid dye preparations are characterised in that, in addition to a metallised dye formulation A, they comprise a mixture of at least two types of organic solvents and, optionally, water and the solvent mixture substantially comprises i) at least one type of first solvent of following defined general formula (I) R-(O-A) k -OH, whose water solubility is greater than 100 g/l at a temperature of 25 °C, and ii) at least one second type of organic solvent which contains at least one oxygen atom and whose water solubility is less than 100g/l at a temperature of 25 °C.

Disclosed are dye formulations containing A) 5 to 25 percent by weight of at least one unsulfonated azo metal complex dye, B) 75 to 95 percent by weight of an organic solvent, C) 1 to 40 percent by weight of polyvinylpyrrolidon, and D) 1 to 40 percent by weight of a non-ionic surfactant, the percentages by weight being in relation to 100 percent by weight of the mixture of components A and B. Also disclosed are the production of the inventive dye formulations, the use thereof for dying leather, and correspondingly dyed leather.
